This site started with a simple question.

One evening, my three-year-old daughter sat down on a curb during a walk and told me she was sad.

Her mom had been in the hospital for weeks. She didn’t fully understand what was happening—only that something felt wrong and someone she loved wasn’t there.

I asked her:

“Why are you sad?”

She said she was scared.

That moment stuck with me.

Not because it was dramatic—but because it was honest.

No filters. No pretending. Just a child trying to make sense of something heavy.

What I’ve Learned Since

As we get older, we don’t stop feeling those same things.

We just get better at hiding them.

We tell ourselves to move on.
To tough it out.
To keep it together.

But underneath all of that, the question is still there:

Why are you sad?

And more importantly—

What do you do with that feeling once you recognize it?

Why This Site Exists

This isn’t a blog.

It’s not advice.

It’s not therapy.

It’s a place for real stories.

Moments where something shifted.
Times when life didn’t go as planned.
Experiences that left a mark—good or bad.

Because sometimes the most helpful thing isn’t being told what to do…

…it’s realizing you’re not the only one who’s felt it.

What You’ll Find Here

Stories about:

  • losing someone
  • starting over
  • regret
  • anxiety
  • relationships
  • family
  • the quiet moments that change everything

Some are heavy.
Some are hopeful.
Most are somewhere in between.

If You Have a Story

You don’t need to be a writer.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to be honest.

Because chances are, someone out there needs to hear exactly what you’ve been through.
